Movie heavyweight Mel Gibson has gone from media shy to Mr. Everywhere in the space of a matter of weeks.
Gibson, who is not a red carpet regular unless he has a film to promote, turned up at the LA premiere of Hugh Jackman’s film Wolverine last month with his pregnant girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
It was the couple’s first appearance since Gibson’s wife Robyn filed for divorce in April.
Since then he has been on Jay Leno’s Tonight Show confirming that he is to be a father for the eighth time.
And he continued his spree of appearances by turning up at the Spike TV Guys Choice Awards in LA yesterday, an event that “pays tribute to the things guys love”.
Wearing a viking hat and carrying a sword, Gibson presented the Guy Movie Hall of Fame award to the stars of Fight Club, Brad Pitt and Edward Norton.
Mickey Rourke was named Guy of The Year, Halle Berry was acknowledged for her Decade of Hotness, Megan Fox was named Hottest Girl on the Planet, the Femme Fatale award went to Angelina Jolie, while Malin Akerman picked up the Hot ‘n’ Fresh award.
