A little redundant, but yeah …
He may be a world-famous actor and an Oscar-winning director, but when it comes to his newborn daughter, Mel Gibson doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty – and that includes changing diapers.
“Oh, absolutely! He’s very hands-on,” girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva tells Britain’s Hello! magazine. “He has been very doting and nurturing.”
The real surprise, Grigorieva, 39, says, it that baby Lucia Anne – named after her and Gibson’s grandmothers – arrived a month early, forcing Gibson, 53, to jet back to L.A. from his New York movie set. Now the infant, who was 6 lbs. at birth, is gaining weight fast and on track to become a polyglot.
“I’m speaking Russian and English and singing lullabies in both,” says Grigorieva. “She has been an inspiration already. I’m composing a children’s song book.”

Is Oksana some sort of D-list celebrity in the UK because of her relationship with Timothy Dalton? Why is the British media so interested in her that she’s constantly giving interviews? I guess she’s not as hated there as she is in the USA. I still can’t believe Mel dumped his amazing wife for this golddigging airhead!

I get the impression the UK media just loves any gossip they can get their hands on. I’ve been told their tabloid mags are worse than the US.

@ Angelina, that is true, the british media is pretty brutal, they do not write sugarcoated articles like the US media does.

Oksana is not a D-list or any kind of celebrity in the UK because of her relationship with Timothy Dalton (he is a class act, very low key and never talks about his personal life).
The only reason she is “a celebrity” now, it’s because of her connection to Mel,and not because of her nonexistant “music career” she is so desperately trying to promote.
As for Mel dumping his wife (and his family) for this golddigger, it is a far cry from what he said in “The Observer” interview in 2000 (Quote)
“There is nothing more important than your family. If you ruin that part of your life, what’s left? Work? Money? Screwing around?”

@robyn2 (great name by the way!)…One of the things I used to admire about Mel was that he too was a “class act” when it came to his personal life, extremely private, keeping his kids out of the spotlight and not blabbing to the press unless he had a film to promote. So I can’t understand why he and his PR people haven’t tried to put a muzzle on media whore Oksana. She certainly isn’t helping his situation because every time she gives an interview she says something stupid.

@babstimestwo, I agree, I don’t understand either why Mel’s PR people (Alan Neirob, are you listening?)don’t tell Oksana to stop giving all the dumb interviews to promote her so-called “music” career. If she wanted to be taken seriously as a musician, she should speak about her music only and not bring Mel and their relationship every time she opens her mouth.
On the other hand, nobody is interested in her music, everyone knows that without Mel her 15 minutes of fame would have been over by now.
Oksana is doing more damage to Mel’s already damaged image(that he is trying to repair).
